ACUPUNCTURE CAN EASE MENOPAUSE

Women who suffer from hot flashes and other uncomfortable symptoms of menopause may be able to find relief through acupuncture, according to a new study.

The idea of having to lie still for 20 minutes with needles sticking out of you may not appeal to everyone. On the other hand, hormone replacement therapy — often employed to make menopause more bearable — has some problems of its own, including an increased risk of coronary heart disease, stroke and breast cancer.

So Turkish researchers recruited 53 postmenopausal women and assigned 27 of them to a five-week course of acupuncture (twice a week for 20 minutes at a time) and 26 of them got sham treatments that they thought were real."

CAN ACUPUNCTURE FIGHT THE FLU ?

According to The World Health Organization, acupuncture is effective in preventing cold and flu as well as shortening the duration of a flu/cold if it is contracted
But why?
Germs are everywhere. Viruses are everywhere. But most of us are not perpetually sick from them. The reason is because our bodies successfully fight the bacteria and viruses in order to keep us well. Problem occur when the body’s systems become too weak to kill the invading ailments

Relation between LIV-14 and PMI

TCM- One of the commonly used Acupuncture point called: Lv 14 is located in the body just below the nipple, on the mid-clavicle at 6 th ICS.
Functions of this point according to TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) are: moves blood and qi, main point for intercostal neuralgia, release tight chest from anger and frustration.

In western medicine (WM) point of maximum impulse (PMI) (electrical charge) felt in the clavicular line roughly at 5 th ICS, below the nipple and mid-clavicle!

Doctors check this point (PMI) if heart ventricle dilated or dis-functioning.
Interestingly, in WM heart is also responsible from emotional issues.  This is one of the interesting example that i figured among many of them that acupuncture is not disconnected from western medicine at all. Just the language is little different, that's all.

WHAT IS ANTI-AGING COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

Here are some of the results you may expect from an Cosmetic Acupuncture:
-  Reduction of wrinkles
-  Skin becomes more delicate and fair and deeper lines
-  Reduction of sagginess
-  Lifting of droopy eyelids
-  Clearing or reduction of age spots
-  An overall rejuvenation that is not confined to your face.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is not limited with face lifting, that is also involves with tummy tucking, cellulite reduction, and loosing weight along with nutritional advice.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a holistic alternative to plastic surgery, injections, and laser/chemical peels.  Your face will never look stretched, burned or puffy.  This series of treatments increases blood circulation to the face promoting collagen production for increased muscle tone and elasticity.  This is what keeps wrinkles from forming!

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE RELEIVE PAIN ?

When you put needles in amazingly designed acupuncture points in the body, you will relieve the pressure oftentimes on a nerve such as a cranial nerves that affects the head. By relieving that pressure on a nerve, the muscles begin to relax, the blood begins to flow into an area, the Qi -life energy of our body- begins to circulate more rapidly and pain is released partially through that mechanism and partially through the nervous system releasing endorphins and encephalins which are natural pain killers produced by our bodies.
